 Broughshane, the garden village of Ulster, is located some three miles east of the town of Ballymena in County Antrim. Set in the beautiful Braid Valley it is a gateway to the scenic Glens of Antrim and the famous Antrim Coast. Mill Cottage is located at Houston's Mill, recently restored in its original and matching stone. The Mill stands at the edge of Broughshane village in a lovely rural setting just three minutes walk from the shops, pubs and the river walk.
There is plenty to do and see within this beautiful area. See the Glens and the Antrim coast. Visit the seaside villages of Carnlough, Cushendall and Cushendun. Admire the views and the scenery of Glenariff and the other Glens of Antrim and wonder at nature on the Giant's Causeway. One can play golf at the 18 hole Ballymena course on the edge of Broughshane village or at the championship course at Galgorm castle just six miles away. Fish in the Braid river, or walk to the Slemish Mountains. Altogether an ideal retreat.
