Maulds Meaburn is one of a string of picture postcard villages nestling in the valley of the Eden, on the Eastern edge of the Lake District. It featured in the Daily Telegraph "Great Drive".

This grade 2 former school built in 1834 lies in the centre of the Village Green close to the Lyvennet beck. It offers spacious accommodation on one level.

With the Lakes to the West, the Pennines to the East, the Yorkshire Dales to the South, and Hadrian's Wall in the North, this is the ideal centre for touring, or for quiet relaxation.

Close by are Penrith, Appleby, Keswick and Kendal, for shopping & leisure facilities. Several castles and other tourist attractions, including the new Rheged Centre. The chocolate factory at Orton merits a visit.

The Lodge offers 1 king-size bedroom, 1 bedroom with 3 singles, 1 Z bed, bathroom, shower, laundry room, large lounge with open fire (from Appleby Castle), kitchen/dining room.
